Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022: All the announcement

Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022: All the announcement

If you are an Xbox Series or PC user who has not subscribed to Xbox Game Pass, Xbox tells the reason why you should be a member starting now in their almost 2 hours long digital showcase. During Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 held last June 13, 2022, there are plenty of games revealed that are coming to the mentioned platforms in the next 12 months. Along with the titles are glimpses of their gameplay and story. Some developers were able to provide detailed explanations of what players will enjoy once their game comes out.

There is a lot to get through so here is our quick breakdown:

1. Bethesda shares more information on their upcoming titles

Starfield (2023)

Let’s start with the star of the show, Starfield. We are treated with an extended look at this most anticipated game on the Xbox Serie console. In the gameplay and story section, we see that the player will land on a mysterious moon Kreet and the events take place in the far future on May 7, 2330. The players will scan the environment to look for resources and (un)friendly creatures. It becomes more action-oriented when the player encounters Pirates. Eventually, you will be invited by a group named Constellation when you go to the city of New Atlantis. From there, you will receive missions and during which, you will run into more groups.

Aside from the story, we also see how in-depth the character creation will be. The players not only can control their character's looks but also their attributes. There are other ways of customization as well like skill system, crafting system, outpost building, and resource generation.

What is more, you also get to build your own spaceship! You can completely customize how it looks and where the components go. You can also choose the crew members who will manage it and traverse the space with you. But the most exciting part is that it is not all for the show; you can really fly it!

Finally, we are informed that there are over 100 systems and 1000 planets to explore in-game!

From the initial launch date of November 11, 2022, it has been delayed to release sometime in 2023. But it looks like the long wait will be all worth it!

Redfall (September 2022)

Bethesda releases more information on Arkane Studio’s Redfall. In the newest trailer, we are introduced to the characters shown in previous trailers. Each of them has unique abilities to help them defeat the blood-sucking Vampires infesting the town of Redfall.

Elder Scrolls Online – High Isle (June 21, 2022)

“The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: High Isle is the ultimate Elder Scrolls experience and includes the Base Game and all Chapters:

  • High Isle (New for 2022)
  • Blackwood
  • Greymoor
  • Elsweyr
  • Summerset
  • Morrowind

Fallout 76 (September 2022)

The Fallout 76 will receive a major content update. This is in the form of Expeditions: The Pitt which features the former city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where you’ll forge new alliances, undertake new challenges, and earn all-new rewards.

2. Hollow Knight: Silksong (2023) update is here!

I’m not crying, you are! After years and years of radio-silence on the beloved Hollow Knight sequel, fans are surprised with a barrage of action and visuals of the Hollow Knight: Silksong. While there is no final release date mentioned, Xbox assures fans [link] that it is coming within their set time period.

3. Forza MotorSport (2023) shows stunning visuals

Turn 10 studios seize this opportunity to amaze players with the new entry in Forza Horizon series: Forza Motorsport. The in-engine demo presents stunning graphics with realism and fidelity in mind. Car damage is reproduced down to the smallest details - from the bent metal body down to the dirt patterns. It also takes advantage of Ray Tracing as reflection can be seen on cars close to one another. Everything just looks real! It just highlights what Xbox Series Console is truly capable of!

4. Diablo IV (2023) finally breaks loose

This game has been in years of development. It is nice to see that we are finally seeing more of it. The Necromancer is announced to be the fifth class, joining the previously revealed classes: Barbarian, Rogue, Druid, and Sorceress. Players will also get to enjoy robust character customization that affects its looks and playstyle. The gameplay section shows the classic top-down dungeon crawler we all expect from a Diablo game. But to spice things up, it is an open world! There are almost 150 dungeons to explore. In addition, there are strongholds that have to be cleansed to make it a friendly town.

The developers also highlighted the collaborative as well as competitive aspects of the game. PC and Xbox One Series players can take on challenges together online. If you prefer PvP, the game also gives you the chance to become the strongest but this power comes with a cost. You will be tagged as the best player on the server and other players will hunt you down for your loot. Offline, players and their buddies can game together on one system and in one room.

5. Xbox Games x Kojima Productions partnership

This is not a rumor: Kojima will partner up with Xbox Games to develop a new game. There are no details, titles, or even just a hint of what this (new) intellectual property will be about. Surely, we will know more in the coming months.
