FATAL FURY 2 followed a year later, introducing the series’ first female fighter—Mai Shiranui—and focusing on two-player competition. Another year on saw FATAL FURY SPECIAL, an all-star brawl with combatants from the two previous titles, make waves in its own right.
Fatal Fury’s legacy cannot be denied, having taken arcades by storm and pumping out a slew of new titles in the years since. The series has truly cemented its place in the annals of fighting game history.
